When people think about major sporting events, they often think about the athletes, the stage, the media coverage and the atmosphere inside the room.
What they don’t always think about is the branding.
The details that quietly shape the entire experience.
Recently, our team at Printlux had the opportunity to help brand one of the biggest nights in women’s football the Women’s Football Awards and honestly, it was one of those projects that reminded us exactly why we love what we do.
From our unit in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, our small team produced:
- 500 branded drink stirrers
- 1000 coasters
- 1000 branded napkins
- 70 custom popcorn boxes
- 20 venue vinyl installations
All designed to bring the turquoise carpet branding to life across the venue.
The Power of Event Branding
Great event branding is never just about placing a logo onto products.
It’s about creating a full experience.
It’s the small branded touchpoints guests interact with throughout the evening often without even consciously noticing them. The coaster under a drink during a networking conversation. The custom stirrer appearing in social content. The venue vinyls helping transform a blank space into something immersive and premium.
When every detail works together visually, it completely changes how an event feels.
That’s where branding becomes powerful.

What Happens Behind the Scenes
Projects like this always look polished and effortless once the final photos are shared online.
But behind the scenes, there’s an enormous amount of work that goes into delivering event branding at this scale.
There are production schedules to manage, colour consistency checks, artwork approvals, packaging logistics, installation timings and, of course, the inevitable last-minute additions that come with live events.
For our team, that meant balancing ongoing client production alongside preparing hundreds of event products within tight deadlines, all while ensuring the quality remained consistent across every printed item.
Event branding requires precision.
Especially when products are being photographed, filmed and shared across social media by athletes, broadcasters, creators and global brands.
Why Women’s Sport Matters
Being involved in an event celebrating women’s football made the project even more meaningful.
The growth of women’s sport over the last few years has been incredible to watch, and seeing rooms filled with athletes, creators, broadcasters and brands supporting that movement feels genuinely exciting.
As a small independent UK business, there’s something surreal about seeing products created in-house by our team displayed within such a high-profile environment.
Moments like this are a reminder that small businesses can absolutely work on major national events and campaigns.
Small Team. Big Projects.
One of the things we’re most proud of at Printlux is that everything is produced with care by a close-knit team.
From signage and display graphics to branded event products and large format print, every project is handled with the same attention to detail, whether it’s a single custom sign or a full event rollout.
This project was a huge reminder of how important branding is within experiential spaces and live events.
Not just visually.
But emotionally.
Because the right branding helps people remember how a space felt.
And being trusted to help create that experience for such a major night in women’s football is something we’re incredibly grateful for.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in the event and especially Finbarr Quinn for trusting us with such an exciting project.
We can’t wait for the next one.
